Determining first what stops us from achieving is the natural first step before setting any goals. This helps minimise the likelihood of failing to achieve what we want.

Consider the ABC steps below to assist you in introducing supportive daily habits to encourage you to achieve those goals.

As Brian Tracy says: “Successful people are simply those with successful habits.”

  1. Anxieties – Write down your top 3 anxieties or stresses in your life right now that you would like to eliminate

  2. Brainstorm – Write down as many ideas including any priorities you feel are important to bring into your life now

  3. Context – Try and be specific about what you want in your life and why, putting things into context will help you clarify exactly what it is you want to achieve

Once you’ve introduced those supportive daily habits you can follow the ABC steps to achieve those goals.

  1. Achieve – We all need to have goals and ensure they are SMART to enable us to achieve them, thus reaching our desired objective and receive the best outcome and result we aimed for in the first place

  2. Benefit – With any goal or action we aim to achieve we should always consider the advantage is for us as well as identifying the anticipated ROI we will receive directly related to the investment of time and energy

  3. Cost – Once we’ve identified what we want to do and the benefit, then we need to weigh up the cost of what this means, this may be a time, personal or financial cost. The cost may also be the consequences or damage that not taking a certain action will likely cause

It’s all just a matter of ABC!
