Carol graduated from Otago University in 1999 with a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.), and Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) majoring in Japanese language.

Prior to establishing Strategy Law & Mediation, Carol’s career also included working in Criminal Litigation, Environmental Law, and as a Partner in General Practice.

Carol’s passion for communication and language contributes to her empathy and interest in other cultures. In her final high school year she won a scholarship for German language, then spent time at a German high school. Carol speaks basic Japanese, rudimentary French, knows some basic Te Reo (Maori ) and is actively studying to improve her knowledge of Hungarian.

Outside work, Carol and her husband Steve spend time scuba diving, dancing, tramping, bike riding, fishing, reading, swimming and spending time with their pets.
