About
Turning The Tide Counselling is about encouraging and supporting people to turn the tide of their lives, and begin the journey of self discovery – whatever that means to them. We believe each person deserves to be treated as they would like to be treated; with love, respect, dignity and grace.
We walk alongside people to help them find their purpose in life, to give people an experience of someone who cares about them, to infuse hope, dreams and goals, and to help them realise the treasures hidden inside themselves.
Sue Dickson
“I am pleased you have come to this website today, and I am delighted to present myself to you. I am a 49 year old woman with two wonderful children. We share a close relationship and they are a joy to me, bringing me pride and happiness through their achievements, and by being the remarkable young adults they have become. They, together with my extended family and friends, are an integral part of my life.”
“My background is in Lifeline Counselling, and because of my interest in this I have completed a Diploma in Counselling. My specific interests are in anxiety, depression, grief and loss, and relationships. I use a variety of approaches including Solution-Focused, Person-Centred and Interactive Drawing Therapy (IDT) as appropriate. I enjoy working with people of all ages, valuing compassion and unconditional love as an essential part of the counselling relationship.”
“Another personal passion of mine is to support and encourage people going through separation and the divorce process. I am a co-facilitator for Divorce Care, which is a programme for relationship break-up support. This 14 week course gives clients experiencing separation and divorce guidance through this difficult time in their life, and equips them with the life skills they require to rebuild their life.”
