Last Thursday, I woke to the alarm I heard a voice saying get your hand off it!

Toastmaster, Boaters and Welcomed Guests!

Is your cell phone the first thing you grab in the morning?

I like to clear the morning emails with my iPhone6+ in hand!

Once showered and dressed, I jump on my “God given three screen iMac desktop computer” and check to see if I had any new internet orders that will need processing later that day.

On this day my partner Cathy then had an appointment to get a X-ray on her foot at 8:00am!

So now we are in the car, I check that I had my dashcam is on and ready to record any shocking car action, as I maybe able to use it on Shocking Christchurch Drivers facebook page.

Cathy is in the passenger seat using her much loved “hand me down iPhone5s” looking at her notifications, checking that she has not missed any action over night.

Now we are in the main waiting room at Southern Cross both of us have iPhones in hand, another lady has her laptop and sitting beside her is the daughter, happily listening to music with some VERY BIG headphones on!

It’s our turn to move to the smaller waiting room, next we both spot the sign telling us to switch off all electronic devices.

It’s a false alarm it applies to X-ray Room not Waiting Area, big sigh of relief to us both!!!

It’s “X-ray Time”

Cathy hands me her iPhone5s. I can only imagine how hard it would’ve been for her.

Now it’s “Business Time”

Check my email, here is one I can reply to now… I check out the persons LinkedIn, Facebook and Website, I reply to them with a short email saying “I will call you later on this afternoon”

O what the heck they may not be very quick at replying to their emails (like me), I’ll send him a quick text so we can start chatting.

On to my next email that came in while I was sitting in the waiting room from Chris Taylor (Winning Habits)

I’ve managed to get Chris up to speed, he has the app Heytell (Just Get it) and also has an iPhone and Macbook

My type of Client

Chris still prefers to email, so I once again did a quick email reply (using voice recognition) next I received a text from Chris, so our conversation was going real time…

I starting using the built in voice messaging tools that comes with the iPhones as this is the best way for me to communicate with Chris Taylor.

So after getting some txt message from Chris in reply to my 5-6 voice messages, he decides it’s just going to be easier for him to just ring me.

I can’t really talk right now Chris because I’m in the waiting room with others!

I had been voice replying to him in between people walking around so I didn’t look like a weirdo, now I am that rude guy walking around Southern Cross talking on my cell phone.

Why am I telling you all this stuff…

It’s taken about 12 months for Chris to embrace technology and start using it on a daily basis, we now use FaceTime video messaging, Screen Sharing and it is just part of the way we do business together.

So the difference between Chris and others that have not Embraced Technology is that Chris started having a go!

Chris now uploads short videos to his YouTube account, also a uploads the same videos to Facebook account then he will write a blog on this website that links it all together he old website as it was only getting 2-3 individual visitors per day, I built him a new engine friendly WordPress social media savvy site, that is now getting 25+ visitors per day.

I have to say some of the videos that Chris did originally were not that professional, however this has now lead to Chris getting four or five professional videos done for him and they feature at the top of all the other videos, and he has certainly improved at taking his own video content by having ago!

My motto “be good today because tomorrow never comes”

Personally and Professionally I use social media to stay in touch with people that I do actually meet face-to-face.

I use smart technology to communicate the iPhone6+ in my opinion is the only way to go!

The bigger stuff I wait until I get back to my office and use my computer.

Did you know my iPhone6+ automatically bluetooth connects to my computer when I get home, most incoming calls are answered of my computer screen.

I stand at my office desk from with Bluetooth Headphones

I use iMessage to reply to all my txts with Voice Recognition

This is build in to all Apple Products (except for Apple iDog’s)

Get up to speed!!

The new now is voice messaging and 30 second videos.

So if your technology is outdated go and purchase an iPhone6+, increase your Data Limit and record a few Small Videos.

Make sure you LinkedIn account is up-to-date, set up a Facebook page, make sure your company branding is up to speed, get a nice Profile Image of yourself.

You may be surprised most people will actually check out your social media and website before they make contact.

In conclusion, I would like to finish by reading you my email signature.
