Jaya Mangalam Gibson – Gibson Design & Quad Cowork

Raised in Scotland, schooled in the US and London, with lengthy intermissions in India. Jaya is a creative strategist, designer, serial entrepreneur and social enterprise advocate.

He has over two decades of international experience working in creative/marketing-based roles for non-profits to Fortune 500 global brands across the public and private sectors. He co-founded Quad Coworking community and work space for digital creatives and is the producer for design and arts conference SemiPermanent.com. He recently led several large projects for the NZ Government including an economic impact study.

Previously he was part of the startup team for an international newspaper in 2004 and ended up in Manhattan as Global Marketing Director until 2011. Prior he co-founded Gifted, an events company with a cult fashion label based in Queenstown. He is also a board member of the Christchurch Arts Audience Development Trust that is helping art organisations increase their audience attendance through research and developing marketing channels.
